Resources for Small Church Volunteer Coordinators

Everything here is built for one job: getting nursery, greeter, sound and communion slots covered without spending your evenings on it.

The tools on this page came out of the same conversations. A church administrator asks how many volunteers they actually need. A board wants to know what paying for nursery cover would cost before they vote on it. A new coordinator inherits a spreadsheet and no method. None of those questions needs a consultant, they need a number and a sequence.

So the resources are deliberately narrow. Two calculators that answer a real budget or recruiting question in under a minute, a checklist you can run on paper for one full six Sunday cycle, and three comparisons that say plainly which kind of church each tool suits, including the times another tool is the better fit. Take what helps and leave the rest.

Who writes all of this

The author page behind The Sunday Desk: who writes these serving rota guides, the small church offices the six week method came from, and how the child safety and volunteer screening sections are checked before they are published.

About the author

Keep the checklist, hand us the chasing

Everything on this page works on paper, and small churches have run the six week sequence out of a binder for years. What software takes off you is the follow up: the Thursday confirmations, the Saturday night swap texts, the screening dates you check by hand once a month. If that is where your evenings go, a demo will show exactly what stops landing on your phone.
